Linda K. Eells East Leroy Linda K. Eells, 61, of East Leroy, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at her home. A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation, located 3 miles east of M-66 on M-60, in Union City. Pastor Matt Jones of Covenant Church in Burr Oak will officiate. Interment will follow at North Athens Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will follow at the Lighthouse. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lighthouse in Union City. Linda was born on October 14, 1952 in Sikeston, Missouri to Sam W. Chadd and Inez Burnett. She attended school in Lima, IN and was raised by her mother and step-father, Juan Negrete. She married Clarence J. Eells on March 3, 1973 in Bronson, MI. They made their home in East Leroy before moving to Mottville, MI, where they resided from 1977-2005. They returned to East Leroy in 2005 and have lived there ever since. Mrs. Eells was a homemaker and loving mother to her family for many years. She loved her laid back country lifestyle and going for walks with her dog Daisy. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading romance novels and watching old episodes of "I Love Lucy". She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who will always remember her giving them donuts and other sweets. She will be missed by all who knew her. Linda is survived by her husband, Clarence J. Eells, her children David (Jackie) Eells of Burr Oak, Brenda Eells of Burr Oak and Steven (Meredith) Eells of Elkhart, IN, her grandchildren Ivy, Ian, Sophia, Caraline, & Scarlett Eells, Mia Hart, Violet Taylor & Leigh Ann Eells, Faith Eells & Alexis Jacobs, her brother Pete (Carol) Negrete of Elkhart and her sisters Kathy Paulus of Wolcotville, IN, Carolyn (Roger) Miller of LaGrange, IN, Maria (Kurt) Wickey of Middlebury, IN, Juanita (Mike) Bechtol of Fremont, IN, Inez Dassorn of Kendallville, IN and Virginia Ash of KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father and an infant brother. Memorial contributions in memory of Linda may be directed to the family.
