Louis L. Jackson Battle Creek Louis L. Jackson, 87, of Battle Creek died November 28, 2012, at Evergreen Senior Care & Rehabilitation Center in Springfield. He was born November 24, 1925 in Delhi, Iowa to Clifford L. and Elizabeth (Michaels) Jackson and graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1944. He was employed at Consumers Power for 36 ½ years, retiring as a substation operator. He married Betty J. Rinehart on May 6, 1945, in Battle Creek. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Diana (Robert) Williams, Debra (James) Gardner, of Battle Creek: two grandchildren, Christopher (Heather) Gardner of Jackson, Ml, and Melanie Gardner of Battle Creek; one great grandson, Ian Christopher Gardner, of Jackson, MI; a sister, Nadine Gifford of Battle Creek; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Geraldine Gray; and a brother, Harold Jackson. Louis' family will receive friends at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Cremation has taken place.
