Lowell E. Crane Coldwater Lowell E. Crane, 73, of Coldwater, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012 at his home. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Wendell Wood officiating. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Lowell was born August 11, 1939 in Bartlett, Kansas to Clarence & Pauline (Wolfe) Crane. He served in the US Navy from 1956 - 1960 and married Denice Sebalj on June 25, 1960 in Hollywood, CA. Mr. Crane spent many of his childhood years in Colorado, coming to the Branch Co. area in 1965. He began working at Griswold Machine & Engineering in Union City in 1965 and retired as asst. general manager in 1998. Lowell was passionate about street rods and enjoyed attending car show swap meets. He was a devoted family man and cherished the time they all spent together. He adored his grandkids and loved to play a variety of games with them, especially when their imaginations could create special roles for him to play. Lowell is survived by his wife Denice, his children Shelly (Larry) Truax of Vilseck, Germany, Michael (Lori) Crane of Bronson, Jeff Crane of Union City, his brothers Richard (Judy) Crane of Avoca, AR, Robert (Ruth) Crane of Prairie Grove, AR, his sisters Glendoris (Norm) Miller of LaJunta, CO, Wynona Hawkins of Washington, his brother-in-law Paul Koehler of Estes Park, CO, his grandchildren Justin Crane, Daniel Crane, Sara Hunt, Chloe Crane, Conner Truax, Cody Truax and his great granddaughter Meeka Clay.
