Martha "Christine" (Wilson) Moreland Charlotte Martha "Christine" (Wilson) Moreland, 90, passed away shortly after her husband of 73 years on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 after a long and happy life. Mrs. Moreland was born on July 17, 1923 in Cartersville, GA, the daughter of Homer and Stella (Flowers) Wilson. On November 2, 1940, she married Charles Moreland in Marietta, GA and they were blessed with two daughters, Patricia Jeanette Howe of Charlotte and Martha Donnie Cunningham. Both daughters and husband preceded her in death. Christine was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy of Battle Creek. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading cookbooks and taking care of her family. Mrs. Moreland is survived by son-in-law, Eldon D. Howe; grandson, David A. (Eldora) Howe; great-granddaughters, Keisha Howe and "Sissy" Erron Sparks; great-great grandchildren Ty Pion, Brooke Pion and Caiden Charles Bailey; and her brother Howell (Vonscylle) Wilson of Marietta GA. The family will receive visitors at Pray Funeral Home Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Pray Funeral Home. If desired, the family has suggested memorial contributions to the Church of God of Prophecy of Battle Creek, or to Eaton Community Palliative Care.
