Age 92, went to be with Jesus Monday, September 29, 2014 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born November 15, 1921 in Highland Park, MI, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Renz) Korver. After her mother's death, her father married Johanna Uding Korver who raised her and her three siblings. She was a resident of Battle Creek since 1933 and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1939. Mary attended Western State Teachers College (WMU) and Tacoa Falls Bible College. On December 22, 1945, she married Robert M. "Bob" Postma and he preceded her in death December 14, 1995. Mary retired in 1991 as division manager from World Book educational products where she won many sales and top producer awards. She was a long time member of Riverwalk Community Church (now Covenant Hope Church), Gideon International Auxiliary, Wycliffe Bible Translators Associates, Christian Singles Fellowship and Youth for Christ Intercessors. Mary was an enthusiastic volunteer for hospice, Bibles for Missions Thrift Store, H.O.S.T. program, Battle Creek Christian School, Crossroads Prison Ministry and Coffee Break Bible Study program. Mary was a gracious woman of ready wit and a contented spirit. She practiced hospitality and charmed many with her great life experience stories. She never lost her sense of curiosity and desire to learn. Mary was peace-loving, gentle, full of mercy and good deeds. Most of all, she loved Jesus with her whole heart.

Survivors include: her children Tom (Vicky) Postma, Barb (Godwin) Okonkwo, Jim (Mary Anne) Postma, Rick (Anita) Postma, Peg Tellinghuisen and David (Janet) Postma; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; one brother John Korver; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, sister Helen Van Holstyn Baughaum and brother Peter Korver Jr.

The funeral service will be 11 am Monday, October 6, 2014 at Covenant Hope Church, 1021 Wagner Drive, Battle Creek, MI with Pastor John Groen officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Lawn Cemetery, Battle Creek. Contributions in Mary's memory may be made to Gideons International, Wycliffe Bible Translators.
