Milan Bobinac, age 89, died at Bronson Battle Creek on Saturday, May 3, 2014.  Milan was born October 5, 1924 in Licko Lesce, Croatia to Martin and Manda (Rubic) Bobinac.  He fought with the United States Army in World War II and he would later come to the USA in 1950 with his wife and son from Berlin, traveling on the ship "General J.H. McRae" for 7 days.  Milan worked at the Eaton Corporation for 30 years as a machinist before retiring in 1982.

Milan had many hobbies, including his love for the Detroit Tigers and WWF Wrestling.  He also enjoyed gardening, cooking and shopping. Milan was very intellectual, speaking five languages.

Milan is survived by his four children, Angela (Jeff) Hersha, Kenneth (Barrie) Bobinac, Martin Bobinac and Daniel Bobinac (Special friend Tina Baines); 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Milan was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, first wife Marta, second wife Elizabeth.

Friends will be received 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014 and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday.  Cremation will follow the service and interment will be held privately at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Those wishing to make memorial contributions may donate to Veterans of Foreign Wars .
