Modena Wilson Battle Creek Modena Wilson passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born December 23, 1935 the daughter of Albert A. and Rosetta (Alexander) Blythe in Fulton, KY. Modena worked for the Toeller Building, Lincoln Elementary as a cook, and Kellogg Community College in Custodial Services. Modena loved to cook and would always have food available for anyone who came to the house. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Harvey) Glass; sons, Jimmy L., David T. Jr., Robert, Charles (LaDonna) and Michael; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Katie Mae Vaughn, Christine Richards, Joan Terry; brothers, Tommy Blythe of Sacramento, CA, Jerome (Marie) Blythe of Linesville, PA, Joseph (Joyce) Blythe of Battle Creek, MI, and Robert (Lillie) Blythe of Battle Creek, MI; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mary Clark, Freddie Hoyt and Ola Mann. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Louise; and brothers, Clyde Morris and John "Billy" Blythe. Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00-1:00 PM at Second Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at Second Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Craig T. Tatum of First Salem Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to the .
