Nancy A. Hecox Marshall Nancy A. Hecox, age 62, of Marshall, died unexpectedly at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo on Wednesday night, November 7, 2012. Nancy was born on February 19, 1950 in Newton, Kansas to Arthur E. and Joyce E. (Moots) Steinkirchner. The family moved to Flora, Illinois in 1954, where they lived until moving to Marshall in 1964. Nancy graduated with the Marshall High School Class of 1968. She attended Michigan State University, where she graduated in 1972 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree, majoring in Interior Design. Nancy and Fred started dating in college, fell in love and were married at the Marshall United Methodist Church on August 19, 1972. She started her career at Officeways in Battle Creek and became a facilities designer for Upjohn Corporation in Kalamazoo in 1985. In addition, she managed the Upjohn Corporate Art Collection, including Norman Rockwell paintings created for the Upjohn family. Nancy traveled around the country displaying the collection. She retired from Pfizer in November of 2010. She was on the Board of Directors for the Kalamazoo Institute of Art (KIA). After retirement, Nancy went into business with a friend restoring and painting furniture. She was a member of the Marshall United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School when her sons were young. She volunteered at Oaklawn Hospital and Maplewood. Nancy's love, kindness, and generosity endeared her to everyone who knew her. Nancy is survived by her husband Fred, sons Tim and Eric, her parents Arthur and Joyce Steinkirchner and mother-in-law Moreen Hecox . She is also survived by her sisters, Susan Szeremet and nephews Stewart and Stephen, Linda (Don) Coultes and nephew Ben , Fred's brother Art (Judy) Hecox, sister Cheryl (Art ) Roth and numerous nieces and nephews. Last but not least, her beloved dogs, Lucy and Jazz. She was preceded in death by her father in law, Neil Hecox. Friends are invited to the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home, 723 US27 N., Marshall on Sunday from 3PM-7PM where the family will be present to greet friends and share memories. Services to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, Nov. 12 at 11 AM at the United Methodist Church, 721 US27 North, Marshall with Rev. Len Schoenherr officiating. Family encourages colorful attire for the celebration of Nancy's life. A reception will follow at Kempf's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Fountain Clinic, Grow Benzie,
