Noe Flores Obituary
Noe Doria Flores Senior

The family of Noe Doria Flores Senior, age 85 years, deeply morn the loss of their loved one. On Wednesday, January 28, 2015 surrounded by his family members at home he joined his Lord and Savior.

He was the cherished husband for 66 years of Erika Bullmann Flores, adored father of Jose' (Linda), Isabell (Jim), Noe (Canda), Cyndia (Jim), beloved grandfather of Richard, Doria, Joseph, Megan, Anna Isabell, Erik, Erika, Aleksandra, Chelsea, Sarah, Great Grandfather of Immanuel, Isaiah, Naomi, Malakai, and dear brother of Maria, Carolina, Agosta and Isabell.

Born in Brownsville, Texas to Jose' and Emilia Doria Flores, at the age of 17 he joined the Army Air Corps post World War II. While in Germany serving with occupation troops he met and married his wife. As a member of the Army Air Corps he was actively involved in the Berlin Airlift. He served in the Korean War, Japan, Europe and Arizona in the Signal Corp for the remainder of his service. After serving his country honorably for twenty years he made his home and spent the rest of his life in Albion, Michigan, fulfilling his career as an UAW Journeyman Electrician. Noe was a member of the Area Albion Ambulance Service volunteering over twenty years. Ever faithful servant of his Lord, at Zion Lutheran church he served up until his  death as a deacon. He was an avid traveler.

In retirement he took great Pleasure fishing, and watching the Dallas Cowboys, and the flowers of his soul, his grandchildren, all grow into adulthood.

His life was centered on his faith and being a devoted, selfless, committed father, grandfather, brother, in-law and citizen. A highlight of his week was any family or friend's dinner gathering with all those in attendance enjoying the abundance of his table. Known as Opa to his grandchildren he amused them with his dry and quiet humor.

As we morn, we take great comfort that his family and friends will be reunited in the bonds of immortal Life.

Visitation will take place at the Craig Kempf Family Funeral Homes, Marshall Chapel on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 5-7pm with family present to greet friends at that time.  Funeral services celebrating his life will take place at 11am on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Zion Lutheran Church, 135 West Green Street, Marshall with Reverend Anthony Voltattorni officiating. Family will gather with friends following the services at the Zion Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.  Interment with military honors will take place at 2pm on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta.  Family requests memorial contributions be made to Zion Lutheran Church or to the Army Emergency Relief Fund.  Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Funeral Home.  Leave a personal message for the family and sign the online guest book at www.kempffuneralhome.com
