Olivia Mae Pittman Olivia Mae Pittman, 98, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, MI. She was born August 1, 1914 in Warrenton, NC the daughter of Walter and Hattie (Robinson) Palmer. She married the late Raymond Pittman in Battle Creek. Olivia worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Battle Creek Veterans Hospital. She was a member of the St. Mark's CME Church in Battle Creek and of Mount Zion AME Church in Quincy, FL. She was an exquisite cook that enjoyed bowling, fishing, and traveling. Olivia and her husband had some of the most beautiful gardens and she loved African Violets. She was the 3 time Cereal City Women's Golf champion. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by her step-sons, Roswell Pittman of Battle Creek, MI and R. Stanley Pittman of Chattahoochee, FL; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary Palmer-Leonard of Brooklyn Queens, NY; and brother, Walter Palmer of Macon, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; daughters, Juanita Rodwell-Howard, Minnie Rodwell-Worrell, and Shirley Rodwell-Smith; sisters, Annie Palmer and Hattie Bell-Palmer; and brothers, William Palmer, Joe Lee Palmer and Robert Palmer. Funeral services will be held in Quincy, FL in the care of Bradwell Mortuary. Arrangements by the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, a member by invitation Selected Independent Funeral Homes.
