Raymond Amsler Obituary

Raymond Amsler Lake Placid, FL Raymond Russell Amsler, of Lake Placid, FL, died October 28, 2010. He was born in Curtice, Ohio on March 8, 1925. His family moved to Homer, MI, when he was as a child. He attended Homer schools, graduating from Homer high school in 1943. He was a U. S. Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific from 1943 to 1945. He worked for Consumers Energy in Southwest Michigan from 1946 until his retirement in 1984. During his years with Consumers Energy, he resided in Battle Creek, MI. He spent Winters in Lake Placid from 1985 until 2002, becoming a year round resident in 2002. Survivors include his daughters, Yvonne (Gary) Poisson, Sebring FL, and Nancy (Tom) Wachsmuth, Augusta, MI. A private memorial service in Lake Placid has taken place.

Nancy and Yvonne,
I just happened to go through the obit today online and was shocked to view that your father had passed away. I am so deeply sorry and may God be with you and your families during this difficult time. The joyous day will be when we all can be together again. Heaven is going to be alot sweeter now with our loved ones their waiting for us. May God Bless You, Paul and Pat (Moore) Davison
