Raymond Estelle Battle Creek Raymond Estelle, age 86 of Battle Creek formerly of Homer passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at his residence. He was born May 1, 1926 to Paul B. and Gula I. Estelle in Homer, Michigan. Raymond attended school in Homer through his junior year, was drafted into the Navy during WWII, when he returned, he graduated form Marshall High School, he then went to Alighright College in Battle Creek, where he graduated. He loved sports, boating, fishing, hunting and playing cards. After his father's death, he operated the Paul Estelle Iron and Metal of Homer, now Estelle Iron and Metal and Auto Parts for 36 years. He provided housing for many people in need. He was a life long resident of Michigan. Raymond is survived by a son, Floyd (Karla) Estelle of Madison, WI; 3 granddaughters, Dr. Lestlie Estelle of Madison, WI, Rebecca Forbes of Stevens Point, WI, Kaitlin Estelle of Rhinelander, WI; 2 great granddaughters; 1 great grandson; soul mate, Beverly Swank of 41 years; sisters-Kathleen Vincent of Battle Creek, Marian Teal of Warren; and several nieces and nephews. According to his wishes, Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Jeremy Williams officiating.
