Robert M. Blue Marshall Robert Martin Blue, 86, of Marshall, died December 19, 2012 at Evergreen Senior Care. He was born June 23, 1926, the son of Edward and Helen (Edderly) Blue in Battle Creek. Robert attended Marshall High School and Battle Creek Central High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked in the processing department at Kellogg's for 38 years, retiring in 1982. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean (Wray) Blue of Marshall; sons, Steven (Linda) Blue of Tekonsha and Mark Blue of Battle Creek; six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and sister, Virginia (Mertin) Jaques of Battle Creek and Venice, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Blue. Robert was a member of the Kellogg's 25 Year Club, the Moose Lodge and American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shrimping in Florida when they wintered in Big Pine Key and Venice. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Shaw Funeral Home. Services will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Cole, Maple Grove Church, officiating. Interment, Newbre Cemetery.
