Sallee Jenkins Obituary
Sallee Baker Jenkins

Sallee Baker Jenkins passed away on September 7th, 2014 in Palm City Florida.  She spent her childhood in Battle Creek, Michigan, graduated from The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, New York, and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.

In 1952 she married Elmer Mason "Bud" Jenkins, also from Battle Creek, who had just graduated from West Point.  They were married for two months shy of fifty years.

Sallee was a member of the Greenwich Country Club in Connecticut, Loblolly in Hobe Sound, Florida and the Round Hill Originals. Sallee was an avid school volunteer, as a Girl Scout Organizer at North Street School and Chairman and Treasurer of Brunswick School Fair and Fashion Show.  She was a board member of the Brunswick Parent Association, Junior League of Greenwich, and the Loblolly Property Owners Association.

She was predeceased by her husband; her son, Alan; parents AC and Lee Baker and brother David Baker. She is survived by son, Elmer Mason Jenkins Jr. and his wife Nancy; daughter, Lynne Carmichael and her husband James; sister Katherine Baker DeLoof; and her adored grandchildren John, Lindsey, Caroline, Carly and Annie. In lieu of flowers or contributions, Sallee's wishes were that everyone will participate in a random individual act of kindness to a stranger in need.
