Sally A. (Preist) Cripps

Peoria, AZ

Sally was born Sept. 26, 1933 in Battle Creek MI. Her parents were Wanda and Harold Priest. Sally went to be with her Lord and Savior Sept. 19, at the Hospice of the Valley one week before her 81st birthday. She attended Battle Creek Public Schools and graduated from B.C. Central High School with the 1951 class. She then attended MSU where she was affiliated with Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Sally married Howard Cripps on June 27 1953 in Battle Creek. Their marriage lasted 61 years. After college and the service, Sally and Howard first lived in B.C., then for many years in Kalamazoo and several years at Gull Lake. They were active members of Riverside C.C. and Gull Lake C.C. Sally and Howard moved to Arizona after retirement and were active member of The Congregational Church of Sun City and the Westbrook Village Community. They were avid travelers and had visited almost every continent in the world.

Sally is survived by her husband Howard; her mother, Wanda Priest and a sister, Barbara (Richard) Sovern of Stuart FL; and four children: David (jill) Cripps of Scotts, MI, Michael of Madison WI, Constance (Daniel) Betcke of White Pigeon, MI and Catherine (James) Hastings of Kalamazoo; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Sally was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Hope and Linda Sampson.

Memorial Service to be held Oct 7 at 2:00 PM at the Congregational Church of Sun City, AZ Rev. Dr. W. Brian Anderson officiating.
