Tamara Jacox Obituary
Tamara M. Jacox

Battle Creek

Tamie Jacox, age 58, passed away September 23, 2015 at her home with her hand on her husband's face as a tear rolled down her check.

Tamie was born on August 8, 1957 in Lansing, MI, a daughter of Frank E. and Marlene K. (Martens) Buonodono. She graduated from Lakeview High School with the class of 1974. On April 30, 1982 she married her best friend, Jesse Jacox in Battle Creek. Together Tamie and Jesse shared many beautiful adventures canoeing the Pere Marquette, Muskegon River, and especially the Kalamazoo River where Jesse proposed to her, road trips around Michigan in the direction the wind was blowing. She was very pleased with the remediation effort of the Kalamazoo River after an incidence 5 years ago.

Tamie was the most kind, loving, caring, compassionate, calm, soft spoken person anyone could know; she touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. This world was truly a better place because of love she showed everyone, she would give her last dollar to someone if they were in need. She loved animals and showed the same love and compassion for them, always eager to rescue and provide them with a home. Tamie enjoyed cooking and made the best lasagna. She enjoyed campfires, cookouts, taking her dogs for car rides, and watching the sun set over Lake Michigan in Ludington and South Haven. She worked for 13 years at Duncan Aviation in Battle Creek, she was so proud to work there and loved her job and co-workers.

Surviving Tamie are her husband, Jesse Jacox of Battle Creek , mother Marlene (Victor) Sternberg of Battle Creek, brothers, Joseph (Michele) Buonodono of Hamilton, Thomas Buonodono of Okemos, sister Cathy (Daniel) Martineau of Battle Creek, loving daughter, Lindsey Faircloth of Myrtle Beach, SC, granddaughters, Bella Austin, Alli Austin, Colby Faircloth, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Frank Buonodono, and brother, David Buonodono.
