Ted D. Perry Battle Creek Ted Darrel Perry passed away peacefully on March 21st at the age of 65. He died at home with his family by his side. He was born in Battle Creek MI on Dec. 23, 1946 to Duane and Grace (Cole)Perry. Ted attended Battle Creek Central and worked for Clarks Equipment Co. as a Machinist for many years. He loved music and played Guitar. His father Duane Taught him to play at a very young age. He played a variety of instruments and was an excellent singer. He played in several bands throughout the years. Music was his passion. He loved to travel, camp and snowmobile. He enjoyed boating and Karaoke. Ted especially loved cookouts with his family, and friends, and grandkids. Ted is survived by his wife Jeanie Perry, a son David Perry of Elizebethton, TN 3 Step daughters, Patricia-Adam Smith of Battle Creek. Jennifer-Carlos Ledesma of Dallas, TX and Cheri-Lenny Smith of Kalamazoo. He was blessed with 19 Grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and another is due in July. Also surviving is his brother Arlen-Beverly Perry of Battle Creek. He leaves behind Several nieces and nephews. Kathy and Daniel Thurston were very special to Ted, he loved and adored them both. Ted was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad (Duane and Grace) also 2 brothers Lee and Lynn Perry. Services will be held Friday March 30, at Floral Lawn Chapel at 11:30 a.m.. A celebration of Ted's life and a luncheon will be held at the Eagles Lodge on M-66 at 1:00 p.m.. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
