Thomas Lee Ambroso of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday morning on September 17, 2015 at the age of 60. He is survived by his wife Cheri Ambroso; daughters Katie (Jon) Behrendt, Chelsea Ambroso, Cristi Ambroso; Grandson Pierson Thomas Hoffman; brother Ron (Tamera) Ambroso; sister Patty (Kevin) Ambroso-Schoonard; nieces and nephews Mark Brandon Watson, Robert (Tammy)Watson Jr., Kimberly (Ali) Rahimi, Diana (Michael) Kotis-Harber, Charles Marshall, Rachael Ambroso, Jared Ambroso and several more cousins, great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leno and Lucille Ambroso; brother John Ambroso; in-laws Clair and Betty Watson; sister-in-law Becky K. Green and Nephew John Kotis.

Tommy graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1973. He went on to marry his high school sweetheart, Cheri, on June 25, 1986. Tommy enjoyed playing on several softball teams throughout his youth and was known to all as a die-hard Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed his weekly card games with friends, and the annual Stan Musial's baseball tournament with the Left Field Rowdies. He loved nature and the outdoors; hunting, camping, and long drives through the countryside with his wife and mother-in-law, Betty. Tommy was a devoted husband and father who took great pride in the raising of his three daughters,

which he accomplished by encouraging and celebrating their academic and athletic achievements. Some of Tommy's fondest moments were spent with his grandson Pierson: racing cars, riding through the car wash, digging for worms, sharing a popsicle, jamming to music, or reading stories together.

The family will be celebrating the life of Tommy with friends from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home and Cremation Care, where funeral services to celebrate Tommy's life will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 21, 2015, officiated by Rev.
