Violet Jean (Ballard) Browne

Violet Jean (Ballard) Browne went to be with her Lord Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family.

She was born November 4th, 1933, in Otsego, Michigan, the daughter of Leslie Ballard and June (Eaton) Ballard.

 Her nickname was Vicki.

She graduated from Belding High School in 1952, and then moved to Battle Creek where she began working as a clerk-typist in the personnel office at the post office Exchange. That is where she met her husband, James O. Browne, who was also employed there. They were married February 14, 1953.

Vicki worked at the Veteran's Hospital, retiring with 15 years of Federal Service for Battle Creek Michigan. She and her husband then moved from Climax, Michigan, to Florida.

Vicki's passions included accomplishing several genealogy books for her family and extended family. She was an extraordinary artist and painter. She loved to travel and visit historical sites. She loved and adored her family.

She is survived by her husband, James O. Browne of New Port Richey, FL; their four daughters, Cindy Grey, New Port Richey, FL, Katherine (Browne) Rector and Lon Rector, Chapmansboro, TN, Patricia (Browne) Harrison, and Stephen Harrison, Climax, MI, Chari (Browne) Muniz and Raymond Muniz, Spring Hill, FL; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
