Wanda Faye Lucas Battle Creek Wanda Faye Lucas, 70, of Battle Creek, died May 21, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. She was born February 11, 1942, the daughter of Robert and Ozell (McCormick) Vest in Decatur, Alabama. Wanda attended Bellevue High School and Wright Beauty Academy. She worked as a hairdresser, and enjoyed sewing, making crafts, canning, gardening going shopping and bowling. Wanda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Harold "Buck" Lucas of Battle Creek; children, Tina Davis of Battle Creek, Steve (Kendra) Lucas of Battle Creek, Sheri (Phil) Cooley of Climax; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and brother, Nolan (Jackie) Spotts of Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012 at Shaw Funeral Home. Services will take place 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Zuhl officiating. Private committal at Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials may go to Good Samaritan Hospice Residence.
