Dorothy Elaine Taylor Jacksonville, FL Dorothy Elaine Taylor, age 95 of Jacksonville, Florida formerly of Albion went home to be with the lord on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. Dorothy had resided at all Saints Catholic Nursing Home in Jacksonville from August 2011 to October 2012. She was born on March 7, 1917 to Oral and Eleanor (Foskor) Drum. She was married to Leonard Seth Taylor on June 29, 1940, he preceded her in death on July 1, 1972. Dorothy graduated from Washington Gardner High School in 1935 and from Cleary College in Ypsilanti in 1936. She was employed by Service Caster Co. from 1936-1940. She was a member of the hospital service league and volunteered at Albion Recycling putting In over 7000 hours. She enjoyed Wheel of fortune, Jeopardy, needlework and reading. She was a devoted member of St. John Catholic Church and a member of the Women's Auxiliary. She is survived by David Taylor (Jean) of Grand Rapids, Nina Evans of Phoenix, AZ, Dorothy Jean Cantrell (Tom Cantrell), Catherine Taylor of Phoenix, AZ, Patricia Shafer of Deleon, TX, Richard Taylor (Mary) of Jacksonville, FL; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. A Rosary will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, Michigan 49224. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 23, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. John Catholic Church, 1020 Irwin Avenue, Albion with Father Joe Gray officiating. Interment at Riverside Cemetery to follow immediately.
