Phyllis E. (Neff) Coult, 88, of Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont, Pa, died suddenly on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014. She was born 1926 in Milan, Michigan, graduated from Union City High School in 1944 and earned an RN degree in 1947 from the cadet nursing program at Community Hospital. In 1948 she married Cecil K. Coult who preceded her in death in 1980. She lived in Hillsdale Michigan and Battle Creek for many years before moving to Pittsburgh in 2005 to be closer to her daughter. Mrs. Coult spent most of her years as a homemaker. She was a loving wife and Mother whose hobbies included sewing, gardening, and reading. She also enjoyed her membership in card clubs and bowling leagues over the years. In her later years coping with a difficult illness revealed the depth and strength of her character. She was thinking of and helping others until the day she died.
Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Edward (Cynthia) Olds of Pittsburgh, PA ; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Patricia) Tyson of North Port, Florida; a brother, Scott Neff of Roswell, New Mexico; three grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as loving in laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jeff Worden of Hickory Corners Bible Church officiating. Burial will be at Bedford Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Research or to the Presbyterian SeniorCare Foundation.
