Beverly Jane (Carlson) Sebright

Battle Creek

This is in loving memory of Beverly Jane (Carlson) Sebright after a difficult struggle with illness over the past several months.

Beverly is preceded in death by her grandparents; both parents; her siblings; and her beloved daughter, Kimberly (Sebright) Bauman.  Beverly leaves behind her children, John (Lorena) Sebright, Vicki Sebright, Randy (Linda) Sebright; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her companion, Robert Lutz; nieces, nephews, many close friends; as well as her precious pet, Tiny.

Beverly was born, raised and spent her life in Battle Creek, Michigan.  Beverly was married for 40 years to Fred Sebright until their divorce in 1997.  She was a very young mother of 4 children, and they were the focus of her young years.  She worked at Kellogg Co. and then as the "kitchen lady" for Harper Creek Schools for many years.  After raising her children and when she was a grandmother, Beverly earned her High School Diploma and was very proud of this accomplishment.  She loved to play Bingo, crochet, bake and cook, pursue garage sales, and collect mementos from her past.

This is in celebration of her life—the last year in which she has struggled through illness and the loss of her daughter.  While there are now more "Grandma Sebrights" that she leaves, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always think of her alone when the name, "Grandma Sebright" is called; and we'll all remember fondly the treats and small gifts she always had ready for them when they visited her or she visited them.  (Hunting trips without her fudge and Halloween without her popcorn balls—just to name a few—will never be the same.)  Beverly, Bev, Mom, Ma, Grandma, Great-Grandma, may you rest in peace and with the love of God until we meet again.  You will be missed.

Family will receive friends at Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 2:00pm-4:00pm & 6:00pm-8:00pm.  Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Collins officiating.  Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Immediately following, the family invites you to join them at the Robin's Nest where lunch will be served.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Fredonia Grange or Christ Baptist Church.   Friends may send condolences or share a memory at baxterfuneral.com.  Arrangements by Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service.  (269)788-9800
