Isaac Anthony Loughrige Marshall Isaac Anthony Loughrige, age 21, died unexpectedly on Thursday morning, Oct. 22, 2009 at Bronson Hospital where he was taken earlier on Wednesday after being stricken at home. Isaac was born to this earth on March 16, 1988 in Dearborn to Shawn P. and Kathleen H. (Babala) Loughrige. The family moved to Marshall in 1990. Isaac attended Marshall schools, and while in high school played football and was co-captain of the team. He also played on the high school baseball team and was a member of the wrestling team. He graduated in 2006. That year he attended Central Michigan University where he played on their football team. He was a member of CMU's Motor City Bowl Championship Team in 2006. He was honored as Scout Player Of The Year in 2006. Isaac transferred to Grand Rapids Community College and played on their football team for two years. Currently he was a student at Kellogg Community College preparing to return to CMU. Isaac was a founding member of Crossroad Church and Ministries in Marshall. He was active there and participated in several church mission trips. Isaac was big hearted and practiced what he believed. The best example was the day he encountered a homeless man in the church parking lot who had come there for help. Isaac saw they were the same shoe size and removed his own right there and gave them to the homeless man whose own shoes were ruined. He enjoyed participating in athletics which included football and most recently boxing (not his mother's favorite!). He liked to hunt with his father, grandfather and uncle. Most of all he loved his Lord Jesus and his family. Time with all of his family was always favorite time spent for him. Isaac is survived by his parents Shawn and Kathleen Loughrige of Marshall; his three sisters Jaime (Matthew) McAllister and Danielle (Seth) Shubert all of Marshall and Marissa Loughrige a student at Michigan State University; a nephew Ezra McAllister and 2 nieces Ella McAllister and Grace Shubert; his paternal grandparents Richard and Patricia Loughrige of Melvindale and his maternal grandparents Joseph and Elaine Babala of Livonia; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
