Thomas "Bam" Foster Jr Albion Thomas "Bam" Foster Jr, 69, passed away Wednesday May 9, 2012 at the V.A. Medical Center in Battle Creek, Michigan. He was born June 15, 1942 in Albion to Thomas and Elizabeth (Ridley) Foster. He was married to Norma Wragg in 1964 in Leicester, England and that marriage ended in Divorce. He attended Washington Gardner High School in Albion and joined the United States Air Force in 1959; Tom spent 6 years in the Air Force where his major deployment was in England. He was Honorably Discharged from the military in 1965. He returned to the United States in 1967. After returning to Albion, he was employed by Corning Glass Works, later becoming disabled. He enjoyed reading, listening to contemporary jazz music, and sports especially football and basketball. As a child, Thomas was a member of Lewis Chapel A.M.E in Albion and later True Light Baptist Church and helped with the church renovations. He was a quiet loving man with a keen sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Thomas is survived by sons Leon Foster of Leicester, England; and Scott Smith of Mt. Vernon, IL; Daughter Tamara Wilson of Birmingham, AL; 6 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; 1 brother Ray Foster of Jackson, MI; sisters Barbara (Andrew) Washington of Detroit, MI; Beverly (Henry) Gibson of Grand Prairie, TX; and Veronica (Harvey) Wheeler of Battle Creek, MI; Special Aunt Mable Grant of Battle Creek, MI; and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Elizabeth Foster and a sister Anna Tyler. His gentle spirit will be missed by a loving circle of family and friends Visitation for Family and Friends will be Wednesday May 16, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until Noon (12:00) at the J.
