Rosemary A. Haire Kalamazoo Age 91, died Thursday December 6, 2012 at the Sojourner House of Kalamazoo. Rosemary was born April 30, 1921 in Jackson Center, Ohio, to Grover and Rosa Ann (Richards) Cavinder. Rosemary was a 1940 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. She had been employed as an executive Secretary at Olivet College. Rosemary is survived by her daughters Karen (Pratley)Thorngate and Dorrie (Cavinder) O'Connell of Kalamazoo; grandsons Jeffery (Terri) Thorngate of Kalamazoo and Larry (Juliette) Ward of Slidell, LA; great grandchildren Alyssa and Nicholas Thorngate and Zachary Ward of Kalamazoo and Alexis Ward of Allegan, MI; and great great granddaughter Makayla Jean of Kalamazoo; sisters June Gardner and Janet (Jim) Needham of Marshall, MI, and Beth (Milburn) Jones and Barbara Vantrease of Battle Creek, MI; many nieces and nephews; step daughters Barbara (Roelly) Bedolla of Ferndale, MI, Julie (Roelly)Ramsey of Manistee, MI, and Mary Jo (Haire) McGuire of Merritt Island, FL; stepsons Thomas (Cathy) Haire of Roswell, GA and Dr. Bradford (Leesa) Haire, of Silver City, NM; and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; a young son David C. Pratley, a foster son, Phillip R. Cavinder; her former husband Carl A. Pratley, husbands Jules R. Roelly and Edwin I. Haire; her brothers Raymond, Lisle, and Max; and her sisters Doris Cavinder and Jean Spindlow. The family will receive friends from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday (today) at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, 223 N. Bedford Rd. Battle Creek. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Seventh Day Baptist Church of Battle Creek, 202 Washington Ave. Battle Creek. Memorials may be given to the Seventh Day Baptist Church or the .
