Charlene H. Ferrari Battle Creek Charlene H. Ferrari, 87, of Battle Creek, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. She was born April 9, 1925 in Breckenridge to Roscoe and Minnie (Weaver) Harmon. She married Paul A. Ferrari, he died October 30, 1980. Charlene and husband Paul owned the Ferrari Sewing Center in Battle Creek for many years. She was a member of the VFW Post 565 Auxiliary and was a charter member of the Battle Creek Sweet Adelines Chapter. She was also a member of the Springfield Assembly of God and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, oil painting, singing and especially her family and grandchildren. Surviving are step-son, Joseph (Marilyn) Ferrari of Battle Creek; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sister, Wilma (Clyde) Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Mike (Bea) Sweet of Coldwater and Lyle (Betty) Sweet of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Judith Burrill; two sisters; and a brother. Visitation Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Shaw Funeral Home where family will be present from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the funeral home, Pastor Randy Brokaw, officiating.
