Lillian M. Graichen Marshall Lillian M. Graichen, age 88, of Marshall died passed away peacefully on January 23, 2013 at Oaklawn Hospital with her family at her bedside. Lillian was born on May 13, 1924 to John and Theresa Grunalt. She married her husband, Carl Graichen on June 6, 1942 in Detroit. Lillian spent most of her adult life in Marshall with her husband and family. Lillian worked at Oaklawn Hospital in the housekeeping department for 11 years, where she retired in 1983. Lillian was a member of the Marshall Moose Lodge, where she became a shuffle board player. She also enjoyed golf, poker games, bingo, knitting and crocheting. Lillian is survived by her brother, Leon (Susie) Grunalt; children, Myra (Larry) Opatik, Chris (Bart) Cook, Marilyn (Gabriel) Solis, Marie (Duane) Shrand, and Cindy (Stewart) LaBarge; son-in-law, Michael Scroggins; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and special "grand-dog" Ally. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Theresa Grunalt, husband, Carl Graichen; daughter, Carol Graichen, siblings, Sylvester Grunalt, Stanley Grunalt, John Grunalt, Virginia Drwencke and Sonny Grunalt; and grandson, Michael Albert Scroggins. Visitation will be held Friday at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
