Barbara Nell Norman, 75
A Funeral Service for Barbara Nell Norman of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Mark Ragsdale and Brother Bobby Copeland officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at the funeral home.
Barbara passed away February 9, 2013, in Gassville, Arkansas, at the age of 75. She was born April 2, 1937, in Charleston, Arkansas, the daughter of Ralph and Nell Boyd McFerran. She graduated from Lavace High School and worked as a nurse's aid during the summers at Fort Smith, Arkansas. On the night of her High School Graduation, her family moved to Trona, California where she met and married Marvin Lee Norman on July 12, 1954. They had three daughters, Bonnie Kay, Debra Leah and Betty Jean. She worked at MarBax Shirt Factory and retired from Baxter Healthcare after 21 years and 10 months of service, 1975 to 1997. Barbara lived in Gassville, since 1970 moving from San Diego, California. She was a member of the White River Full Gospel Church in Flippin, Arkansas.
Barbara leaves three daughters; three grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her only brother, Wayne McFerran and a granddaughter, Shanna Dawn (Farris) Rencher.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to White River Full Gospel Church in Flippin, Arkansas.
