James Teddy Baker, Jr., 40

Funeral Services for James Teddy Baker, Jr. of Melbourne, Arkansas, formerly of Mountain Home, will be 2:00pm, Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with Reverend Bob Matthis officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until time of service at the church.

James passed away March 10, 2014, in Melbourne, at the age of 40. He was born June 18, 1973, in Harrison, Arkansas, the son of James and Barbara Hill Baker. He worked as a Sheriff's Investigator for the Marion and Izard County Sheriff's Departments for over ten years. He attended special law enforcement training courses and received numerous awards, commendations and letters of recognition for his outstanding community service.

James is survived by his mother, Barbara Baker of Mountain Home, AR; two daughters, Ashlee Barbara Baker of Brockwell, AR; and Brittany Martin-Baker of Little Rock, AR; former wife and special friend, Monika Baker of Brockwell, AR; two brothers, Mark Baker and Joseph Arango-Baker both of Mountain Home, AR and three sisters, Sherrie Britt of Mountain Home, AR, Wendy Lewis of Warrensburg, MO, and Desiree Marie Arango-Baker of Hot Springs, AR.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas,with Mark, Scott, Brian, and Ronnie Baker, Rocky Britt, and Charles "Tiny" Monahan as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Children's Miracle Network, Fraternal Order of Police or Fallen Police.
