James "Jim" Harper, 54
James "Jim" Harper, age 54, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born October 11, 1958 in Gainesville, Missouri to Tommy Shockey and Connie Thayer.
Mr. Harper married Sharon Alexander October 7, 2005 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was an Assistant Supervisor at Baxter Health Care. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He served in the United States Navy.
Mr. Harper is survived by his wife: Sharon Harper of Mountain Home, two daughters: Jessica Dwyer and husband David of Gassville and Alisha Harper of Mountain Home, two sisters: Fern Tutor of Aurora, Missouri and Marilyn Coker of Monett, Missouri, three brothers: Junior Rouse of Aurora, Missouri, Eugene Rouse of Highlandville, Missouri and Jason Coker of Missouri and three grandchildren: Dylan Dwyer, Laney Dwyer and Veda Rowe. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be Wednesday from Noon - 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
