Ruth Anna Hertha Waltz, 88

Mrs. Ruth Anna Hertha Waltz, age 88 of Mountain Home passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 in Flippin, AR.

She was born June 29, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Anna Ullrich Jannusch.

She married James "Jim" Waltz on March 15, 1947 in Chicago. Mrs. Waltz enjoyed playing the harmonica and accordion and led singing groups at the Salem Senior Center in Wisconsin. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Hoevel-Barnett Post 1341 in Bull Shoals.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Jean (George "Sonny")Riggs of Bull Shoals, AR and Nancy Clothier of Des Plaines, IL; a son William "Bill" (Marsha Jo) Waltz of Copperas Cove, TX; grandchildren: Tim Riggs and his significant other, Karen Ciskowski of Mountain Home, AR, Connie (Ben) Duncan of Jacksonville, AL, Christine (Chris) Olivo of Pearl City, HI, Jonathan (Flower) Waltz of Las Vegas, NV, Phillip Waltz of Honolulu, HI, Carrie Balzano, Laura Louise Clothier of Des Plaines, IL and Maureen Clothier of Chicago, IL; a brother, Wayne Jannusch of Des Moines, Iowa; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Waltz in 2007 and a grandson, Samuel Gschwind.

Visitation will be held from 2 until 6 PM Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Strang Funeral Home in Antioch, Illinois. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Strang Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago.
