DuBuque, Maxine Ann  
Maxine Ann DuBuque, 74 A Memorial Service for Maxine Ann DuBuque of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 12 pm until 4 pm at Salerno's Rosedale Chapel, in Roselle, Illinois. Maxine passed away September 4, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 74. She was born December 28, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Menceslaus and Mary Boswell Cnota. She married Kenneth DuBuque in 1959, at Chicago, Illinois. Maxine lived in Mountain Home since moving from Chicago, in 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her family and crocheting. Maxine is survived by her two sons, Michael (Michelle) DuBuque of Mountain Home, AR, and Ken DuBuque of South Elgin, IL; two daughters, Kathy (Frank) Friedman of Lombard, IL, and Kim (Bill) Komorous of Grays Lake, IL; ten grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Lindsey, Ashley (Tee) Mulkey, Chris (Mallory) DuBuque, Sophie DuBuque, Dianna (Shaun) Phillips, Frank James Friedman, Nicole Friedman, Natalie Grusling, Samantha Grusling, and Amelia Felker; and six great-grandchildren, Parker Lindsey, Palmer Lindsey, Piper Lindsey, Callan Mulkey, Olivia Mulkey and Ethan Mulkey. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Memorials may be made to the Pregnancy Resource Center. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services. Lewis, Kenneth  
Kenneth Lewis, 69 Kenneth Blaine Lewis, 69, of Mountain Home passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at his residence. He was born October 26, 1946 in West Plains, Missouri to the late Donald and Lois Lewis. He served his country with the United States Navy and was very proud to have served. He loved his country. His hobbies were fishing and traveling. Ken graduated with the Zizzer class of 1964. He traveled a lot but home was always West Plains. Ken was retired from Ranger Boats in Flippin. He is preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law. Ken is survived by his wife Jewel Lewis of Mountain Home; his children Kenneth Jr. (Edie), Theresa Kuehlem, Sabra (Jonathan) Chrisawn; his brothers, Eric (Earlene) Lewis, Danny (Linda) Lewis, Lanny (Dee) Lewis; a sister, Sherry (Bill) Martin and many other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Baker, John Wesley  
John Wesley Baker, 85 John Wesley "Biff" Baker, 85, son of Walter and Veda Baker (nee Cole) passed away on Thursday, September 22, at Hospice of the Ozarks, Hospice House, in Mountain Home. The 8th of 10 children, he was born on September 23, 1930, in Earle, AR and was the last surviving family member. He was an alumnus of Earle High School and in 1948, at 18 years of age, he left Earle to enlist in the United States Navy. While stationed in San Diego, CA, he met Lennah Jane Hampton and on May 20, 1955 they were married in Yuma, AZ. In 1960 he volunteered for the submarine service where he proudly served on the USS Raton until it was decommissioned in 1967. He finished his career as an instructor and retired from the Navy in 1969. Over the duration of their marriage, they lived in the Philippines, Brownsville,TX, and San Diego, CA (for 28 years), retiring in Mountain Home in 1985. Jane passed away in 2003. Survivors include sons John Jr. (LuAnne) of San Diego, CA and Brent of Mountain Home, AR, two grandchildren Danielle Williams (Dan) of Highlands Ranch, CO and Christian Baker (Nicole) of San Francisco, CA, a step-grandson Erik Kuhl, of Vista, CA and two great grandchildren Anthony and Addison Williams, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. A Funeral Service for John will be 11:00 am, Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Heather Clawitter officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28, 2016, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, AR, with Brent, John, and Christian Baker, Erik Kuhl, Ken Grayham, and Donald Gray as pallbearers. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and the United States Navy Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services. Jones, Terry Lee "Buster"  
Terry Lee "Buster" Jones, 68 Terry Lee "Buster" Jones, son of the late Alva Jones and Ersel Gifford Jones, was born January 17, 1948 in Bexar, Arkansas. He departed this life September 24, 2016 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 7 days. He was united in marriage to Barbara Meinzer April 18, 1998 in Calico Rock. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. He retired from Baxter Lab in Mountain Home after 20 years of employment. Buster was active in community affairs, serving as Fire Chief of the Calico Rock Fire Department. He also served as City Deputy for 10 years. He loved entertaining his family and friends with an annual 4th of July fireworks display. He was of the Assembly of God Faith and a member of New Life Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife of 18 years: Barbara Jones of the home; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Donna Jones of Pineville, Bonnie and Carl Henson of Calico Rock and Marcy and Calvin Wilson of Melbourne; two sons and two daughters-in-law: Alan and Beverly Meinzer of Mt. Pleasant, Curtis and Sheila Meinzer of Norfork; two sisters: Betty McCracken and husband Johnnie of Calico Rock and Sue Vinson of Calico Rock; three brothers: Thomas Jones and wife Mary of Wichita, Kansas, Charles Jones and wife Karen of Calico Rock and Jerry Jones and wife Marjie of Mountain Home; 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Funeral service will be Thursday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Harry Hunter and Alan Meinzer officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Memorials may be made to: Calico Rock Fire Department, P.O. Box 370, Calico Rock, AR 72519 and Pineville Fire Department, 964 AR 223 Hwy, Pineville, AR 72566. Pallbearers: Calico Rock Fire Department and Pineville Fire Department

Maxine DeMand, 95 Maxine DeMand, 95, a long time resident of Mountain Home, passed away September 24, 2016, at Hospice of the Ozarks - Hospice House. Maxine was born on May 7, 1921 at Hunter, Missouri to Roy and Lillie Webb and lived her young life at Ironton, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, John DeMand. Two sisters survive - Mabren Donnelly of Windsor, California and Audrey Steck of Gladstone, Missouri, also many nephews and one niece, and many grand nieces and nephews. Maxine was a kind and generous lady of many talents. She was an excellent seamstress, a great cook, and a self taught horticulturist. Her greatest treasures were her many Mountain Home friends.
