A Celebration of Life for Dean A. Darling, 75, of Bull Shoals, AR will be 10AM Monday July 1st, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, AR. with friend, Nancy Phillips officiating. Family will receive friends from 9AM until time of service. Dean passed away at his home on June 27, 2013.

Dean was born September 7, 1937, at Lancaster Ohio to Ralph William and Grace Barber Darling. He married Rita Nuckolls July 2, 1994 at Mountain Home, AR. Dean served four years in the United States Air Force as a technical sergeant during the cold war stationed in Okinawa and Kadena Air Force Base. He was a Communications Engineer with Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka, Kansas, the Atomic Energy Commission in Las Vegas, NV, and the Saudi Arabian American Oil Company Dhahran in Saudi Arabia. Dean retired to the Mountain Home area in 1991. He was an avid fly fisherman, flytier and bamboo rod maker all of which he happily shared with other fisherman. Dean was a past vice-president of North Arkansas Flyfishing Club, chairman of the Sowbug Flytiers and founding member and president of the Las Vegas Bird Dog Club.

He is survived by his wife Rita Darling of Bull Shoals, AR; sons, Michael Allyn Darling of Manhattan, KS, Phillip Lee Darling (Tina) of Eudora, KS, Derrick William Darling (Katie) of Gasport, NY; one daughter, Dina Belle Clark (Barry) of Manhattan, KS; grandchildren, Nicholas Noah Clark, Nathan Walker Clark, Halee Belle Darling, Hunter Dean Darling, Karl William Darling and Grace Darling; and special friends, Jim Babcock, Bob Jones, Chuck Birmes, Ron Lee, Bob Chapman and Tony Spezio. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Grace.
