Marilyn Elizabeth Long, 82
Marilyn Elizabeth Long, age 82, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed Thursday, August 29, 2013 at her residence. She was born August 8, 1931 in Wichita, Kansas to William Webster and Burlie Mneatha (Williams) Pierce.
Mrs. Long married Bill Long February 3, 1950, in Oakland, California. She is a retired Human Resource Administrator for Baxter Lab. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home, Red Hat Society, Past President of the Mountain Home Funtimers and a former member of the Toast Masters.
Mrs. Long is survived by her husband Bill Long of Mountain Home, two sons: Mark Long and wife Vicki of Providence, Arkansas and Scott Long and wife Sheryl of Willard, Missouri, three close cousins: Judy O'Neal of Plano, Texas, Penny Hancock of Wichita, Kansas and Joey Brooks of Tucson, Arizona, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Kathleen Corey and a grandson: Teddy Ulman, Jr.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Rodney Steele officiating. A visitation will be Saturday from Noon - 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church or a memorial of the donor's choice.
