Martha Alice Riley, 80
A Memorial Service for Martha Alice Riley of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, January 26, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Dane Chatman officiating.
Martha passed away January 18, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. She was born December 11, 1932, in Howell County, Missouri, the daughter of Homer Dean and Faye Jackson Surritte. She married Eldon Ray Riley on May 21, 1950, at Hocomo, Missouri. While Martha worked for Montgomery Wards, she decorated the store and helped with sales. Martha lived in Mountain Home, since 1989, moving from Kansas City, Missouri. She was a member of the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 Auxiliary, the Buford E.H.C., and the Buford Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafting, cooking, and helping with the bingo kitchen at the American Legion Bingo.
Martha is survived by her mother, Faye Surritte of West Plains, MO, three sons, Dan (Naomi) Riley of Mountain Home, AR, David (Debbie) Riley of Deepwater, MO, and Darrell (Ginny) Riley of Ocala, FL, two grandsons, one great-grandchild, and two brothers, Dale (Tommy) Surritte of West Plains, MO, and Jerry (Shirley) Surritte of West Plains, MO.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dean Surritte, and husband, Eldon Ray Riley.
Memorials may be made to Baxter House Adult Services at Cooper Park or Good Samaritan Village.
