William R. "Bill" Swadley(1937 - 2013)

William R. Swadley, 76

William R. "Bill" Swadley, age 76, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013, in Mountain Home.

He was born February 22, 1937, in Mountain Home to William Edgar and Pearl Marie Foster Swadley. On June 8, 1959, he married Carla L. Lance in Mountain Home. Mr. Swadley was a member of the Mountain Home Church of Christ, was a brick mason, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was looked upon as the family patriarch who loved and took care of his family and grandchildren. He passed on the skill of brick-laying to his grandsons, and enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and repairing cars and mowers.

He is survived by a daughter: Lori (and husband Larry) Cox: Mountain Home; three sisters: Bonnie Reed: Gassville; Fran Kasinger: Flippin; and Ruth Lewis: Myron, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Joshua, Jacob, Jordan and Julia Cox, and Jessica Tinin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother: James Swadley; sister: Carol Winnet; and a great-grandson: Jayden James Tinin.

Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Friday, November 15, 2013, at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M.
