Bill W. Starkey, 80

Bill W. Starkey, age 80 of Mountain Home, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. Mr. Starkey was born December 25, 1931 in Bass, Arkansas to Arlin and Wilda Starkey. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War, and was assigned to the U.S.S. New Jersey. On December 3, 1955, he married his wife, Della Jean Bailey, in Harrison, Arkansas. Mr. Starkey was a local businessman, who formerly owned Mountain Home Ready Mix, Mountain Home Quarries and the Willow Court Restaurant and Motel. He was a member of the College & North Street Church of Christ, and enjoyed spending time with his family, and fishing.

Bill W. Starkey is survived by 2 daughters, Denise Pizzimenti of Mountain Home, and Vickie Dilbeck (and her husband, Mike) of Mountain Home, 7 grandchildren, Darren & Lee Davis, Tiffany & Tina Pizzimenti, Casey Dilbeck, Crystal Davis and Trudy Hartsell, 8 great grandchildren, Colin Davis, Trenton Davis, Douglas Davis, Parker Hartsell, Macy Davis, Noah Sparks, Alex Pizzimenti and Makenna Clark, 6 sisters, Mary Bolin of Bentonville, Arkansas, Wanda Williams of Suisun City, California, Iva Mulford of Harrison, Arkansas, Elizabeth Zeliff of Branson, Missouri, Linda Chaffin of Henderson, Nevada and Debra Wiskirchen of Branson, Missouri, 3 brothers, Rex Starkey of Hasty, Arkansas, Johnny Starkey of Bellefonte, Arkansas, and James Starkey of Joplin, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, Wayne Starkey, a grandson, Carland Starkey, a brother, Jerl Starkey, and a sister, Stella Starkey.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Burial will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
