Charles Wayne Cooper, Jr., 43

Charles Wayne Cooper, Jr., 43, a resident of Mountain Home formerly of Forrest City passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

He was born December 16, 1967, in Forrest City to Charles Wayne and Patsy Gwen Luker Cooper. Charles relocated to Mountain Home in 2001 from Forrest City. He married Shannon Michelle Deutscher on November 17, 2005 in Mountain Home. He was an automotive mechanic at The Shop in Mountain Home; during his training to be a mechanic, Charles was the first recipient of a scholarship awarded to mechanics from the state of Arkansas. He was an avid hunter and fisherman of all types and the winner of the 2004 Bass Cat Tournament on Lake Norfork. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Leah "Dawn" Cooper.

Survivors include his wife, Shannon Cooper of Mountain Home; a son, Allen Deutscher of Mountain Home; five daughters, Kristin Cooper of Gassville, Courtney and Taylor Cooper, both of Mountain Home and Rosella and Destiny Kowalsky, both of Mountain Home; his parents Charles Sr. and Patsy Cooper of Cotter; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Melissa Cooper of Henderson and Kevin and Patty Cooper of Bull Shoals; a sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Joseph Snurr of Cotter; a brother-in-law, Tim Deutscher; six nephews; four nieces; two special friends, Brian Butts and Jimmy Gant and other relatives and friends.

Locally the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011, at the Conner-Hankins Funeral Home. Visitation is from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2011, at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Wynne with the Rev. David Yates officiating. Burial will be in Ellis Chapel Cemetery near Wynne.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to service at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Jeff and Josh Dailey, Brian Butts, Richie Warren, Jimmy Gant and John Christiansen.

Memorials may be made to the Cooper Family at any Arvest Bank location.
