Charlotte A. Smith, 82
Mrs. Charlotte A. Smith, age 82 of Mountain Home passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Pine Lane Therapy. She was born August 24, 1930 in Rensselear, Indiana to Chester Bokma and Florence Bokma. She married Robert L. Smith on December 31, 1949.
She was a member of the Goodland Methodist Church, Kentland Methodist Church, Redeemer Lutheran Church and currently, the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Pythias Sisters Lodge of Kentland for years. She was pianist at the Kentland Methodist Church and Pythian Sisters for years. Before retirement she belonged to many women's clubs and card clubs. She retired from the Kentland State Bank after 27 ½ years. She retired to Mountain Home and was involved with three square dance clubs and many card clubs. She enjoyed square dancing, playing cards and trips to Branson.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Smith of Mountain Home; 2 sons: Terry (Jody) Smith of Reynolds, Indiana and Steven Smith of Mountain Home; 3 grandchildren: Stephanie York of Westfield, Indiana, Scott Smith with the U.S. Army and Parker Smith at home; An adopted grandson Lance (Jennie) Culp of Fortville, Indiana; 2 great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons; 1 sister, Ellen Welch of Flora, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Entombment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens Niche of Faith.
