Clyde R. Ostler
Clyde Ostler died peacefully on April 19, 2013 following a prolonged struggle with Alzheimer's. He was born in Provo, Utah on March 17, 1926 and eloped to Elko with his wife, Marietta on July 3, 1947, where they have remained for the majority of their lives.
Clyde served his country during WWII in the Pacific on a troop landing craft for the US Navy. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and Commander of the local VFW in 1972-73.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and most of all being with family.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marietta, children Vikki (Jeff) Vanderstek, Debbie (Layne) Harris, Terry (Christy) Ostler, and Mike (Nancy) Ostler. Grandpa Clyde leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
