Darrel Orsborn, 69

Darrel Orsborn, 69, of Howard's Ridge, Missouri was born May 21, 1945 in Buffalo City, Arkansas to the late Sam and Sarah (Beavers) Orsborn. He was the youngest of six children and an only son. He departed this life on April 30, 2015 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Darrel attended high school in Mountain Home, Arkansas and later in Monroe City, Missouri where he graduated in 1963. He worked at Warehouse Liquor in Mountain Home for 30 years before he retired in 2011. He was also a gunsmith and had his own business at his home. Darrel had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. He liked to garden and loved to share his harvest with friends and family. He also liked to fish and hunt mushrooms in the spring and take trips to Tunica with his two special lady friends. Most people that knew him well would say that he was one of a kind. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Orsborn of the home; five children, David Orsborn (Kelly) of Cotter, Arkansas, Dana Perry (Scott) of Clinton, Arkansas, Dawn McBride (TJ) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Brian Orsborn (Robin) of Koshkonong, Missouri, Leslie O'Leary of Luray, Kansas; four sisters, Aileen Biller (Bob) of Fence, Wisconsin, Wilma Fenton of Whiteville, Arkansas, Vivian Morgigno (Ed) of Lakewood, Colorado and Sue Maycunich of Lakeview, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Dalton Orsborn, Patrick Perry, Dylan McBride, Kyle McBride, Austin Bell, Jade Bell, Brylie Orsborn and Jayla O'Leary and many nieces and nephews.

Darrel was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna Callicott.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Conner-Hankins Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

The family requests that everyone dress in their most casual wear and come prepared to visit with family and friends and maybe share your stories and memories of Darrel with each other.
