Donald Lee Stith, 79

Donald Lee Stith, age 79, of Yellville, Arkansas, son of the late Francis Marion and Edna Eliza (Lindsay) Stith, was born June 28, 1931 in Coldwater, Kansas. He died June 13, 2011 at Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

He was united in marriage to Sandra Inez Duckworth-Donaway September 1, 1989 in Bentonville, Arkansas. He served in the United States Marine Corps 3rd Ordinance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California during the Korean War. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Flippin, Arkansas and served as a Deacon and Sunday School Director. He was a master gas fitter and installed heating and air conditioning units for large companies. He was an accomplished carpenter and wood worker. He built houses, furniture, rolling pins and just about anything anyone wanted. His most memorable woodworking can be seen in the Anitoch Baptist Church in Flippin. He was a farmer and loved to garden. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and a jack of all trades. He was a member of Masonic Lodge. He had an infectious personality and delighted in sharing his 'barnyard philosophy'.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Pansy Miles, and a brother, Lonnie Stith. Survivors include his wife Sandra Stith. A daughter, Sherrolyn Stith-Scheuerell of Bella Vista, Arkansas, a son, Rodney Stith of Huntsville, Arkansas, and a step-son, Robert M. Alston of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, Samantha Bull and Seth Biazo, both of Springdale, Arkansas and a step-grandson Michael R. Alston of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Memorial services are at 2pm Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church in Flippin, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Arrangements are by Twin Lakes Cremation Society & Funeral Home.
