Edna L. Cunningham, 93, of Mountain Home, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at a nursing home in Melbourne.
She was born in Calico Rock, Arkansas on September 24, 1918 and was the daughter of Baxter and Julia Ann (Jennings) Neel.
She attended the Moccasin School at Calico Rock. She was a cook in Kansas City, MO and for 17 years, she was the cook at the Raintree Restaurant in Mountain Home. She enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, and embroidery. She enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Kansas City Royals. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters Susi Cunningham Brewer of Heber Springs; a step-son, Jerry Dean Schertz of Kansas City, MO and two step-daughters Linda Greco of Dallas, TX and Sheila Schertz of Lee's Summit, MO; 14 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles Franklin Cunningham; second husband, Joe Walker Schertz; four children: Nina Julia Ann Cunningham, Charles Franklin Cunningham, Jr., Roy Dale Cunningham, and Royce Gayle Treat.
Pallbearers are Stuart Treat, Ronald Treat, Charles Treat, Tillman Treat, John Gipson, Andrew Treat, Rusty Treat, and Charles Cunningham.
Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Melbourne.
Burial will follow at Galatia Cemetery in Norfork under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
