Frank P. Ernst Obituary
Frank P. Ernst, 94

Frank P. Ernst entered his life's journey on August 20, 1917, in Chicago, Illinois, and departed this world on the wings of an angel to our Father September 4, 2011, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. Monday, September 5, 2011, at Roller Funeral Home with a Vigil Service at 4:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend Christopher Okeke as celebrant. Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens.

The son of Jacob and Karoline nee (Geislinger) Ernst, Frank was a retire Tool and Die Maker and a life-long member of the International Association of Machinists. He married his sweetheart Susan "Sue" Lores Ernst on June 10, 1939, and they moved to the Mountain Home area from Chicago, Illinois, in 1976. Susan entered into rest in 1991. During his time, he enjoyed fishing and everything about sports from playing and watching to just talking the scores. One of his fondest memories was playing with the Chicago Bears in the late 1930's. He will be remembered for his contagious smile, generosity to those less fortunate, his witty ideas and words of wisdom.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: a son: Rich (Janet) Ernst: San Diego, California; five grandchildren: Dr. Linda Ernst (Dr. Jen Reichek): Chicago, Illinois; Laura (Mike) Foote: Lake Zurich, Illinois; Sandy (Steve) Dickerhofe and Jim (Jacqueline) Ernst: all of Cumming, Georgia; and Jeff Ernst: San Diego, California; nine great-grandchildren: Max Reichek: Chicago, Illinois; Ashley, Austin and Collin Foote: Lake Zurich, Illinois; Gretchen, Gus and Grayson Dickerhofe: Cumming, Georgia; Camden and Quinn Ernst: Cumming, Georgia; and a host of dear friends.

He was met at the gates of heaven by his beloved wife Susan "Sue" Lores Ernst; a son Jim Ernst; his parents; and a brother Jacob "Jack" Ernst.

He will be greatly missed and remembered always. Memorials may be made in memory of Frank Ernst to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Visit our online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
