George E. Stoner, 89

George E. Stoner, age 89 of Henderson passed away February 3, 2013 in Mountain Home. He was born April. 24,1923 in Charlotte, AR. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion Post 0281 in Waukegan, IL, a member of the Scottish Rite, a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Henderson Baptist Church

He Is survived by his daughter Brenda Stoner (Allen) of Henderson, grandson Mark Tomei(Nancy) of Mountain Home and grandson Nicholas Tomei SR of Henderson and 3 great grandchildren. Also one very special friend Ola Stoner. He was preceded in death by his parents Dock Isom and Nellie Hinton Stoner, sister Pearl Maxwell, sister Ollie Hicks McGuire, and wife, Pat Thomas Stoner.

A special thank you goes out to all of his wonderful Nurses and Aides at Care Manor Nursing Home in Mountain Home, AR. For the last year you had become his extended family and had made his life so pleasant and enjoyable. Words can never express the gratitude and love George had for you. His family will never be able to thank you enough.

A private graveside service will be held at Center Grove Cemetery near Batesville at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that any donations please be made in the memory of George E. Stoner to the Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Dr., Mountain Home, AR or Shriners Childrens Hospital, 2211 North Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 607047.
