Irlene "Pat" Silver, 88

Irlene "Pat" Silver age 88 died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in Gassville, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 1:15 to 1:45pm at the Roller Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 2:00pm, Friday, February 8 at Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, with the Rev. Deborah Silver and the Rev. William Deneke officiating.

Pat Silver was born on October 2, 1924 in Wilson, Oklahoma, the son of Rice Knox and Idabelle Pray Camplain. Pat moved to Mountain Home in 1992 from San Jacinto, California with her husband Leroy. During her marriage to Leroy, she traveled with him up and down the west coast and to various parts of Arizona, Utah and New Mexico for his surveying work with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. Although she struggled with health issues all of her adult life, she survived all of her eight siblings, her husband and all of his siblings. This was a testament to her strong will and determination and the excellent care she received from her husband Leroy and from the Gassville Therapy and Living Center where she resided the last three years.

Pat loved the faithful canines who were her constant companions over the years, including Susie, Peanut, Hobo and Celina. She also loved her family including her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved the Seventh Day Adventist Church which she became a member of in her early 50s.

She is survived by her daughters Barbara Snyder (and husband Robert Snyder): Altoona, Pennsylvania; and Deborah Silver (and husband William Deneke): Atlanta, Georgia; and her son Kirk Green (and wife Sharon Green): Tucson, Arizona. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, numerous great grand children and two great, great grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families on both her own and on her husband Leroy's side of the family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leroy, her twin sister Evelyn Dowdle, sisters; Mildred Fisher and Ruth Llewelyn and brothers; Arthur, Jack, Coke, Coleman, and Tom Camplain.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
