Jack L. Baker, 85

Mr. Jack L. Baker, age 85 of Mountain Home passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Jack was born September 3, 1926 in San Francisco, California to Le Roy and Nellie (Schramn) Baker. Jack was a WWII veteran proudly serving as a radioman on the DE 360 Johnny Hutchins in the Pacific Theater. He enjoyed playing guitars, gardening, country and gospel music. Jack was a member the VFW Post 3246, American Legion Post 52, and the NRA. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.

Jack is survived by his 2 daughters; Evelyn Baker of Elmwood, Illinois, and Suzanne Falco (Frankie) of Corsicana, Texas, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1st cousin; Kermit Schramn of Rushville, Illinois, brother-in-law; Dennis Komes (Jane) and a beloved dog; Sandy. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife; Rosalee, 2nd wife; Darlene, and one son; Michael J. Baker.

Visitation for Jack L. Baker will be Noon - 9 PM Friday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday in at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church with Rev. Linda Dabney officiating. Burial will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or Humane Society of North Central Arkansas. .
