Jane Cox, 69

Jane Cox, age 69, of Glenwood, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. A resident of Mountain Home, Arkansas, most of her life, she had moved to Glenwood in 2008 to be near her son and his family.

Mrs. Cox was born January 20, 1942, in Lakeview, Iowa, to David Oren and Neva Draper Leonard. On November 20, 1960, she married Norman F. Cox, Jr., in Mountain Home. Mrs. Cox worked as a teller in banks in Mountain Home, and was a member of the Church of Christ at College and North Streets in Mountain Home and also in Glenwood. She was a member of the Visually Impaired Persons, the Mountain Home and Glenwood Lions Clubs, and in spite of her many health problems, she was resolute and courageous. A godly woman, she was very faithful in church attendance.

Survivors are a son: Darren (Jennifer) Cox: Murfreesboro, Arkansas; three brothers: George (Pat) Leonard: San Pedro, California; Tommy (El Donna) Leonard: Promise Land, Arkansas; and Bob (Phyllis) Leonard: Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters: Mary Ann (Shorty) Courtright: Columbus, Ohio; and Shirley Wilson: Sun City, Arizona; two grandchildren: Zachary and Hadley Cox; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers: Dick, Jim and David Leonard.

Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Mountain Home Church of Christ at College and North Streets with Brother Wayne Camp and Mr. D. A. Dahlke officiating. Interment will be in Quality Ridge Cemetery.
