Jerry Wayne Frie, 72

Jerry Wayne Frie, age 72, of Henderson, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Jerry was born July 30, 1939, at Cardwell, Missouri, to Norman Wyatt and Alice Ophila Johnson Frie. He received a Bachelor's degree from Arkansas State University and worked for 37 years in the dairy processing business as a financial officer. Formerly of Paragould, Arkansas, Jerry was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church and had been active in Scouting, served as a scoutmaster, founded a troop, and was honored with the Silver Beaver Award. He was instrumental in organizing the Ozark Center of Hope and helped with the Mountain Home Food Basket. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Betty Jo Frie: of the home; two sons: Bill (Carol) Tomerlin: Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and Max (Jill) Chesser: Frisco, Texas; two brothers: Gene (Darlene) Frie and Rick (Diane) Frie: all of Jenks, Oklahoma; a sister: Faye Frie (John) Jackson: Mountain Home; a granddaughter: Amy Tomerlin: Colorado Springs, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Tuesday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at First Baptist Church with Reverend Max Pyron and Reverend Rick Frie officiating. A Graveside Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
